برامج التحكم للأهل أو ما يدعى parental control، كاهل علينا أن نحمي اطفالنا من المحتوى الغير مناسب الذي ربما يظهر لهم من خلال الإعلانات أو صفحات إعادة التوجيه (Redirects Ads) – وفي الوقت نفسه، نرغب أن نعطيهم مساحة من الحرية في تغيير البرامج المفضلة لديهم أو تصفح قنوات على اليوتيوب (طبعاً هذا ليس تشجيعاً على ترك الاطفال عرضة للالكترونيات حيث يُفضل استثمار الوقت بالانشطة الحركية والفنية التي لها تأثير إيجابي على نفسيه الطفل) لكن لنكن واقعيين ، في حاضرنا، أصبح استخدام الاجهزة الالكترونية جزء لا يتجزا من حياتنا وحياة من حولنا، وفي اغلب الاحيان لم يعد الأهل قادرين على منع أطفالهم منعاً باتاً من استخدام الموبايل والكمبيوتر اللوحي أو الكمبيوتر العادي، ولا نريد أيضاً ان نغفل الفوائد التي ربما نحصل عليها من البرامج المصممة والمدروسة بشكل جيد ومفيد.
